The Surry Hills Festival is on again this Saturday, celebrating the vibrant, creative community of Surry Hills.
Shannon Reserve, Ward Park and the Surry Hills Library and Community Centre will again be the focus of entertainment, competitions and classes for both the two and four footed members of the family, and will feature some great activities for the young and young at heart. Festival goers will also have the opportunity to explore partnering satellite venues, art galleries and venues across the suburb.
The Festival kicks off with the Dog Show registration at 9am, with bands, artists and other entertainment scheduled to take to the stage every 45 minutes between 10am - 6pm. There will also be food and market stalls including artisans & hand made crafts, local designers, vintage collections, ethical & eco products.
Remember, entry is by gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre and the event is strictly no BYO alcohol.
The Festival is one of the major fundraising events for the Centre, a not-for-profit, non-government information and resources organisation providing activities and services to Surry Hills' diverse community.
