Clover Moore Independent Team

Dear City communities…

On 8 September, support city leadership that gets things done and shapes our future.

Dear City residents, business operators and voters,

Elections for the City of Sydney Council are on 8 September 2012.

As Lord Mayor of the City since 2004 I lead an Independent Team of residents and business people active in our communities and experienced in city government.

We are transforming our city and shaping its future.

Parks and reserves have been renewed with new ones created such as Pirrama and Harmony parks and nearly every childrens playground has been upgraded.

Award winning community, sporting and leisure facilities have been built such as Surry Hills Library, Redfern Park and Oval, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and the soon to be opened Prince Alfred
Park Pool.

Heritage is being given new uses, such as Paddington Reservoir Gardens, Burton Street Tabernacle and Sydney, Glebe, Erskineville and Paddington town halls are being restored.

Working with you we are improving our unique villages with civic and street improvements, more than 7000 new trees planted and floral displays.

We care for our diverse communities with free rates for pensioners, expansion of our aged and community services and provision of 32% more child care places.

Our parades, festivals and cultural sponsorships promote a vibrant city. We champion small bars, provide studio spaces for artists and create new opportunities for Sydney’s cultural life and businesses.

And Sustainable Sydney 2030, our plan for the future, is reducing our environmental footprint.

All this with balanced budgets every year and investments to fi nance future projects including Green Square town centre.

So support our city leadership that gets things done and shapes our future!
