Comment Sought on Paddington Roundabout Proposal

Woollahra Council is asking for community comment on its proposal to reinstate a roundabout at the intersection of Glenmore Road, Cascade Street and Hampden Street, Paddington.

There was a roundabout at this location until 2005 when it was removed in order to prevent rat-running through residential Paddington as part of Cross City Tunnel works. Police report no history of accidents with the current stop signs.

I am concerned about reduced safety for pedestrians and cyclists if a roundabout is reinstated. Council says that four on-street parking spaces will be removed.
