What do you want your street, neighbourhood or village to be like in 2030? We're inviting residents across our city to come along to a series of workshops over the next few months to share ideas with us. The City has identified 10 village groups, many of which share a major main street, to help us manage how we provide services and allocate funding fairly.
The village groups are CBD & Harbour, Chinatown & CBD South, Crown & Baptist Streets, Glebe Point Road, Green Square & City South, Harris Street, King Street, Macleay Street & Woolloomooloo, Oxford Street, and Redfern Street. You can see the streets, neighbourhoods, parks and facilities they cover at www.2030inyourvillage.com.au
Sustainable Sydney 2030 is our plan for the future of Sydney. It outlines our commitment to improving bike riding and walking connections, protecting our environment, establishing a thriving cultural scene and helping our economy thrive. Using the ideas and suggestions the community gave us for Sustainable Sydney 2030, our Local Action Plans and consultations on other projects and policies, we have developed draft plans for each village group.
We want you to tell us what you think and help us develop them in more detail - you can see the draft plans and dates & times for the workshops at www.2030inyourvillage.com.au I hope to see you at one of the workshops soon.
