For the first time, the City of Sydney is calling out to all aspiring photographers aged 3 -11 years to submit their images of what Sydney looks and feels like to them, in the Little Sydney Lives photography competition.
Part of the City's 10th annual public art festival Art & About Sydney, which runs from 23 September to 23 October, Little Sydney Lives opens doors to a younger audience, inviting Australia's future artists to share their own creative interpretation of Sydney.
A youthful addition to the much loved Sydney Life photography exhibition, Little Sydney Lives encourages children to creatively capture their own interpretation of Sydney through the lens of a camera.Judges will be looking for original snaps capturing Sydney from a kid's point of view. All they need is a camera and a keen eye!
The top 20 photos will be selected by a judging panel, with the finalists' images enlarged and put on display in Sandringham Gardens, Hyde Park for the duration of the four week festival. The judging panel will select a winner and a highly commended entry in both the 3 -7 years and 8 -11 years categories, while the public get to vote for their favourite image, selecting the Kids Choice Award winner.
Entries close at 5:00pm on Friday, 22nd July. For more information and the Little Sydney Lives entry form visit: www.artandabout.com.au
