From January 5 to 27 the annual Sydney Festival will once again bring our city to life with music, performance and art.
The City of Sydney has been a partner of Sydney Festival since it began in 1976. In 2013 our support will be the largest in the event's history. We have committed over $2.3 million to help stage this month long celebration of Sydney in summer.

We know that the Sydney Festival entices visitors to our city, and supports local artists, performers, retailers, restaurants, cafes and bars.
For 22 days more than 30 venues across Sydney will host 92 events with 360 individual performances.
The opening day of the Sydney Festival will be a celebration in three parts, with events taking place in Hyde Park during the afternoon, Cockle Bay during the evening and The Domain at night.
One of the highlights of the Festival will be Paradiso at Town Hall, where we will host an eclectic mix of music including local acts, international bands and DJs. The Paradiso Bar at Town Hall will also be a gather place for people enjoying Sydney Festival events across the city.
The full program is now available online. As Chair of the Sydney Festival Board, I have no doubt you'll find something that excites you.
Festival Multipacks will go on sale Thursday 25 October. General ticket sales open on Monday 29 October.
