Taking home a splash of living colour

You may have noticed the bright red, blue and purple floral displays around the City this summer. These stunning displays have filled over 450 hanging baskets around the city alongside 900 planter boxes and floral towers.

For the past seven weeks, the "Living Colour" floral displays have brought greenery, colour and a touch of nature to our inner-city to make it an even more beautiful and welcoming place to be.

Now we are giving you the chance to take these colours home to plant in your own backyard, or balcony garden. You can buy any of the plants for a gold coin donation, and all funds raised will go to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, a charity that provides assistance for people disadvantaged by HIV.

You can pick up the plants from Cathedral Square in front of St Mary's Cathedral from 8am on Sunday 8 March until stocks run out.

Some plants will also be available from neighbourhood centres in Glebe, Redfern, Kings Cross and Town Hall House from Monday 9 March.
