I joined some of Sydney's most exciting up and coming young designers at The Makery on Oxford Street to help launch this weekend's Fashion in the Villages program.
The Makery is one of the City's thriving creative spaces, giving local artists and designers a space to exhibit and sell their creations in a prime retail location. It's one of more than 100 local retailers taking part in this weekend's celebrations, which are part of the month-long Sydney is Fashion program.
Special events, interactive workshops and more will be on offer across Surry Hills, Newtown, Darlinghurst, Paddington, Pyrmont and Potts Point on Saturday and Sunday.
Australian Fashion Week founder Lorraine Lock has worked with retailers in each village to create a program that shines the spotlight on the unique personalities of our local fashion hubs.
The City is proud to fund Fashion in the Villages as part of our ongoing support for local business.
