Breathable Sydney Hack-a-thon

Due to rising concerns from the community about air pollution, Deputy Lord Mayor Jess Miller is hosting the ‘Breathable Sydney Hack’ this weekend.

In partnership with EnergyLab and Climate-KIC, the ‘hack-a-thon’ aims to bring social entrepreneurs, scientists, data analysts, health professionals and students together to come up with innovative and tech-based solutions to the problem we have – a lack of air quality monitoring here in Sydney.   

With increasing congestion and WestConnex smoke stacks in our future, it’s important we understand the impact on air quality and the effect it will have on our health – even more pressing when you consider that the NSW Government has not released any plans to share air quality results with Sydney residents.
