We want to hear what kind of after hours Sydney you want, to help us create a 20 year policy for Sydney's night time economy.
We are consulting with a broad range of people, including residents, club owners, artists, museums, security guards and young people. As part of this unprecedented consultation, this week we spoke with 192 people on Sydney's streets at different times of the day and areas of the City.
So far you've told us you want to see a greater variety of venues, more live music and more information about what's already happening in Sydney at night.
As well as asking people on the street, we are holding industry roundtables, focus groups, community, Twitter conversations, and online forums. Community forums will be held at five locations across the City between 23 May and 2 June. Register to attend by emailing email@example.com.
We will use the feedback from our consultation and the best available local and international research to develop a new night time city policy. This policy will outline a vision for how the night time economy should function over the next 20 years.
The policy is also focused on broader strategic issues for Sydney at night. Specific issues such as trading hours and planning will be explored as an outcome of the policy.
